Deze 2-daagse course wordt gegeven in het Engels en gaat in op (on)mogelijkheden rondom (anti)ventilatie en het schoon ventileren. Deze cursus leert wat in NL gebruikelijk is rondom (anti) ventilatie. Naast theoretische kennis en het gebruik van smokestopper en ventilator, ga je in tal van scenario’s ondervinden wat het betekent en leer je het toepassen. Als je de rookstroming kan beïnvloeden dan voorkom je ongewilde rookverspreiding.

This 2-day course (in English) deals with (im)possibilities around technical (anti)ventilation. Besides theoretical knowledge and using the smokestopper and fans, you will experience what it means and learn how to apply it in numerous scenarios. If you can influence the smoke flow, you will prevent unwanted smoke dispersion.

At the end of this training, students will understand the following:

Ventilation theory
Considerations for the use of post-fire and defensive PPV techniques
Applying a Safe System of Work
Critical Elements of an operational PPV Deployment Model

Psychomotor Objectives

At the end of this training, students will be able to:

Safely and effectively demonstrate and apply post-fire suppression and defensive Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) techniques
Demonstrate and use flow path management techniques and procedures in compartments
Utilise Sequential ventilation techniques for domestic, high-rise and industrial/commercial buildings
Deploy smoke curtains effectively
Apply transitional attack techniques
Apply safe systems of work for the use of PPV in operational interventions.
